"PEE WEE'S LAST ADVENTURE!" RIP Paul Reubens (08/27/1952 - 07/30/2023) ... He was 70.

From Pee Wee's BIG Adventure to the TV SHOWS to BIG TOP PEE WEE The actor who played the lovable character over the decades in film, tv, and on the many other stages is now on "The Final Ride" as Paul Rubens has left the planet and passed away July 30th 2023 after a long 6 year fight with Cancer.

Who was Paul Ruben? Well he was an American actor, comedian, writer, producer, and children's entertainer. Best was known for his as the "Pee-wee Herman"
character which is iconic, and became a pop culture phenomenon for a number of years.

Paul Reubens was born 08/27/1952 in Peekskill, NY he would
joined the Los Angeles troupe The Groundlings in the 1970s, and started his career as an improvisational comedian and stage actor. Pee Wee or Rubens played that role so much he was typecast in the part but it's of his own creation and I do think he loved the part. A Brilliant actor however he was also known for the drug drama movie with Johnny Depp named BLOW!

Rubens and Depp remained friends for years after the movie and at one point Rubens asked Johnny Depp to play Pee-Wee Herman in two movies. That ended up never happening of course and history never got that crazy even though given the friendship between Depp, and Tim Burton I could have seen Depp giving it a lot of thought.

After all the first movie that really made Pee Wee a big movie character was directed by Burton "Pee Wees BIG Adventure" so who knows. But it never got made so we will never know. But what we do know is that Rubens was a great actor who was very underrated. Here are some of the remarks by people who loved him from Twitter.

Conan Obrien wrote this...
Now it wasn't always fun and jokes... Rubens had dark times especially in 1991 following an incident at an adult theater where he was arrested for masturbating in an adult theater. Which in itself is a joke. What do people go to these places for if not to jerk off I guess? I've never been but I'm assuming this is the reason.

But he was humiliated, lost his show, and was reduced to no work for years until the stigma of the event faded from manys minds. He slowly was able to make a comeback and for a while was doing well but then hard times hit again in this time was due to alligations of CHILD PORN being found on his computer.

On Nov. 16, 2001, police searched Reubens' Hollywood Hills home and seized personal computers and boxes of material a Reubens spokesperson described at the time as "vintage erotica."

Acting on evidence taken from Reubens' house, police then searched the home of Jones, the actor best known for playing the principal in Ferris Bueller's Day Off, and carted off what police told CNN were "numerous items of evidence." Police told CNN that the probe had continued for months, until the arrests finally took place.

Jones, 56, was charged with enticing the same boy to pose for sexually explicit photos (a felony) and possessing child pornography (a misdemeanor), the district attorney's office told the Associated Press. Earlier reports had said Jones shot a video of the boy engaged in sex, but district attorney's office spokeswoman Sandi Gibbons told AP, "The charges do not involve any sex act being performed or any video or film being taken."

There's no allegations of any touching or any improper acts with a minor." Reubens' attorney, Blair Berk, issued a statement, saying, "Mr. Reubens has never at any time knowingly possessed any artwork from his extensive vintage and antique art collection even remotely related to anything improper."

He was arraigned on charges and released a statement on it. He was fined $100.00 also got 3 years probation and agreed to register as a sex offender. He said "
I am glad the prosecutors finally dismissed the child pornography charge without me or the taxpayers having to pay for a costly circus-like trial,” - Reubens said in a statement" Things could have been worse as Reubens faced a possible fine of $2,500 and a year behind bars.

Jeffery Jones ended up pleading no contest to a charge of soliciting a minor. The accuser was 14 when the offense first occurred. At the same time, the misdemeanor charge of possession of child pornography was dropped. His attorney emphasized that there was no allegation of improper physical contact. He was sentenced to five years probation and ordered to register as a sex offender.

Jones paid a Fontana boy twice to pose nude for photographs he took at his Hollywood Hills home, according to court records. During the sessions that began in 2000, Jones persuaded the boy, identified in court records as Steven C., to pose naked with a cowboy hat, a stuffed animal, and as an Indian. (WOW Dude probably grew up playing Cowboys & Indians with his friends and it became a fetish! LOL)

With the parents of the victim watching, Los Angeles County Superior Court Judge David Horwitz on Tuesday also ordered the 56-year-old actor to undergo a year of counseling, two years of drug and alcohol counseling and barred him from possessing pornography. He would later have to serve three years of probation after pleading guilty to failing to update his sex offender registry info.

DOH! For a guy who always played a smart guy he sure was one big dummy! Besides being a sick pedophile. As for Paul Rubens... Look a lot of us who grew up in the 80's, and 90's loved Pee Wee Herman as kids but remember this man did this before Blues Clues, and before a lot of other kids shows.

He wasn't the first but he was the one who had the biggest name in childrens programing. He blew it all away one dark night in that theater, and had his demons over the years which would hurt his reputation, and I'm sure there was even more skeletons in his closet as most of Hollywood is full of weird, twisted and some of the sickest people.

But from people who I do like and admire as Conan Obrien and some who loved him, and knew him who knows what the truth about what was what with him. What I do know is that he's gone now and he will be missed by millions. So with that I close this by saying thanks for the laughs and memories Paul. Hope you're having a grand ol time in Pee Wee's afterlife adveture.

Here are some clips to remember him by...
